Dear Parents and Caregivers,
The James L. Mulcahey School Parent Teacher Organization welcomes you to Mulcahey School and invites you to join us in providing support and materials for the academic programs at Mulcahy which benefit our children and our community.
As an organization, we strive to improve the quality of life at our school. We facilitate communication between parents and staff while fostering a sense of community within the school, we host events to raise money for programs, activities and supplies that would otherwise be out of reach. Your support is essential and all parents/caregivers are encouraged to participate as much as possible. We have a wide assortment of volunteer opportunities. Take a few moments to review our web page: www.mulcaheyschool.org it contains information regarding the many opportunities you have to get involved and tell us where you can contribute your time and talents. Please register on the web page as soon as possible.
Although you can volunteer without attending meetings, we hope to see you at as many PTO meetings as possible. They are on the second Wednesday of the month and child care services will be available for your convenience. At each meeting, we hear updates from our Principal and teacher representatives. We discuss current and future PTO activities, including requests for volunteers and funding. Time is also allotted to address concerns of our parents and caregivers in an open forum so that we may further understand our ever changing needs and address them as they arise. Many parents find the meetings a valuable time to remain current on school issues and activities while being offered an opportunity to voice their opinions. It’s also a great opportunity to meet other parents/guardians.
With your help, we look forward to another great year at Mulcahey Middle School. If you are a new parent or new to the area, please contact any of us by phone or e-mail. We would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
